I would add diploid bearded iris 'Taj Majal' to that list for bud count.  I
have seen 10-12 bud regularly.  In addition it is a good grower, nice white
flowers, great stalks and nice foliage.

And genetically it is not white but a blue (i.e pale violet hafts lines down
into the throat)
