Re: Ordering from Cayeux

Neil and Char -- Thanks to both of you for your advice. Meantime, Cayeux
has responded, telling me to just list France as the country of residence.
I have done that. Now, their online order form won't permit me to proceed
until I list a French phone number. Sacre bleu! The error message says
that the phone number "must contain five chars". Since I am sure they are
not talking about fish, I assume that they are using the archaic term for
"characters". I have tried entering Cayeux' own phone number, as well as
every combination of numbers I can think of. Nothing works. So, I have
sent them another e-mail. I hope this succeeds, because our various U.S.
growers (Keith, Schreiners, Sutton, etc.) don't have the particular varietes
that I want. Stay tuned, mes amis.

Neil, I'm sorry to hear about the excessive rain }ou've been experiencing.
Here, it's been the opposite. The ground is cracking because of the
dryness, and I've lost a couple of my SDB seedlings which I transplanted
several weeks ago. Meantime, we had a nice, overcast day here this morning,
so I watered the front iris beds for an hour. Just now, we have had a
steady rain for about half an hour, and now the sun's out. It's always the
way, isn't it? -- Griff
