CULT: rebloom showing

Immortality is putting up its second stalk now.  The first came and went
early in August, even though the beetles ate most of the petals.  It was a
delight.

I hope Merit will eliminate some of the beetles.  I haven't put it on yet,
but for the NEXT bloomstalk, there may be some protection.

I've got terrible soft rot losses going on.  Rain, rain, and more rain, and
poor drainage.  The raised beds got flattened by the deluges last fall with
three hurricane remanants dumping inches of hard rain on us, so that irises
were left standing on their roots.

I wish we could send a couple weeks' worth of the rain to Missouri.  They
need it, we don't.
