More from the bulletin, p. 38: "Many irises rotted to winter rot with
the fewest losses to summer rot".

Which is why I called it the death zone.

However, there are also reports of cultivars that did put on a nice
display in some gardens.  Many from hybridizers east of the Rockies, but
also some from the west coast.  Including some I have killed <g>

Plus, remember all the complaints about damaged plants at the recent
Oklahoma convention after plants were hit with a typical late
winter/early spring killing freeze?  Irisarians unfamiliar with our
climate effects blamed it on soil amendments.
