I have one of those Gravelys you're talking about. Still healthy as a horse after about 30 years, although I did have to have a new engine block put in a couple years ago when I didn't watch the oil carefully enough. I still see them listed in our "Buyers Guide" every now and then. They were made until just a few years ago when bought out by Ariens I think, who discontinued them. State highway crews just love them for their durability.

Do any of you remember those old Gravely walk behind tractors? Sure would be nice to have one of those for the "gravel" rows. Impossible to rototill, and with rebloomers, the only time of year I could plow (till) with the regular farm tractor is the middle of winter. Anybody know if there is a modern equivalent? -- Linda Mann east Tennessee USA zone 7/8 East Tennessee Iris Society <http://www.korrnet.org/etis> American Iris Society web site <http://www.irises.org> talk archives: <http://www.hort.net/lists/iris-talk/> photos archives: <http://www.hort.net/lists/iris-photos/> online R&I <http://www.irisregister.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
