I always think it is so odd that we can get rain here out of a hurricane
started way on your side. HA!
I never thought about that when I moved to AZ.

It's cloudy but, so far this time, our area hasn't gotten any drops.
Of course, we always welcome any moisture the skies give us.

It's hard to stay enthusiastic about our favorite flower this
year...some of us are all sitting around having heat stroke and
dehydrating, & others are nearly drowning...

it finally rained about 2 tenths of an inch Friday evening here,
dropping the temperature from ~100oF to 85!  I think that's the first
rain here since.... can't even remember.  The heatwave is supposed to
finally ease up by the end of the week. Hottest August on record, driest
year on record (records go back to late 1800s).

Shift in this stubborn high pressure system should help out those of you
who've been getting washed away too.
