Re: Summer Rebloom


Found a stalk on MARIPOSA AUTUMN this afternoon - 13 leaf blades, 11 green.

What you are seeing with IMM sure makes sense re: its erratic tendency to bloom here. It just doesn't often make fans with many leaves here. Instead, it tends to start making increases.

Chuck, any idea what the trigger for making increases rather than more leaves in the main fan?

For whatever reason, it seems to think vegetative increase is a wiser investment of resources for survival than trying to make seeds here. I rarely see much bloom from IMM other than spring, and even then, the stalk to fan ratio is low.
