as soon as i read this mail i dashed to the garden with paper and pencil....so
happy to help with data that would at last give some root for some rules...!
But i couldn't come up with figures any close to yours, Chuck, because i've
cleaned the garden thorouly to limit the rot linked to the high levels of
humidity combined to the heat this summer. So i only have green leaves, no
brown dry ones anywhere, so i guess i can't help this year.

Immortality with stalks has 7 green leaves , as well as Cantina, Again and
Again, Many Manalos and Tickle the Ivories.
Lady Essex, Midnight Caller, Ozark Rebounder, Angel Heart have 8.

 Next year i will leave the dry leaves till the stalks appear !

  It would appear that  the maturity of the fan determines if it reblooms
  or not. Some observations from garden

  Pure As Gold flower stalk on  fan with 10 leaves, not on fan with 9
  leaves
  Again and Again stalks of fans with 10 leaves not on fans with 9 leaves
  Dorcus Lives Again stalks on fans with 11 leaves , not on fan with 10
  leaves
  Red Revival stalks on fans with 11 leaves not on fans with 10 leaves
  Queen Dorothy stalks on fans with 10 or 9 leaves , not on fans with 8
  leaves


  At the same time I have Daughter of Stars with fan of 12 leaves, no
  rebloom.
  Cry Baby with fan of 10 leaves and all sorts of daughter plants growing
  between leaves in fans, but no flower stalk. Lotic reports rebloom on
  Cry Baby in his garden, perhaps a difference in hours of sunlight.
