Linda -- I'm sorry for your bad luck. When Firefox alerted me to the upgrade, it also noted that some of my programs might be incompatible until they caught up to Firefox's change. I was able to check which programs/s were incompatible, and it was my Norton anti-virus program. So, I simply held off from the upgrade until Norton caught up, which it did within, I think, 24 hours. Then I could upgrade safely, and did. I reasoned that there was less to lose from holding off the browser upgrade than risking my anti-virus coverage. I mention this in case others on our list might face the same choice. -- Griff

After it was too late (computer infected), I learned (the hard way) that
the most recent upgrade of FIREFOX (which Firefox automatically
downloaded & installed last week) was incompatible with my antivirus
software, Trend Micro.

So my computer was trashed, had to haul it ~60 miles round trip to the
doctor, and now am stuck using Gatesware and am $100 poorer.

I don't know whether I'm more disgusted with Firefox or Trend Micro, who
is encouraging me to buy more software from them (just renewed in June)
and apparently kept emailing me while computer was in the shop wanting
to know if their solution (to wait for their new software release next
month) took care of my problem.

grrr....

And still in the 90s every day & no rain.  Crunchy dry grass.
