	Well, I USED to live in the Piedmont area of NC - near Durham.....
I can attest to it being HOT and HUMID for weeks on end (especially bad if
you have a new baby and no air-conditioning and live in student housing and
can only afford one fan)....I can see iris wilting in my mind's eye now.
 
	Then, growing iris was not even a blip on our radar screen.

	 I guess there are microclimates everywhere not just in the North.....
