We have a local treasure of a woman, Anna Rettig, an elderly German woman who
insists that you CANNOT thank a person for a flower or it won't grow! I do
as Anna says.. and I say - your plant will have a good home... then I look
for something that SHE can give a 'good home' to!
Superstitious? Of course! But what else is a gardener but superstition, voo
doo, hope and luck?
