Re: Edith Wolford

I guess I must be lucky/blessed or just crazy, but here in hot, humid zone
8, EW did well this year, and I had 3 plants that bloomed well. (3 for 3) I
tend to put in bone meal before planting, and plant just below surface
level, and dont have any evidence of rot... so far.

I am looking forward to transplanting all these soon, when is a good time
for an area still having 95 degree days? We have had 3 deluge rains in the
last week, after 3 total for the whole year before that. I am getting
anxious, I drive by them and my hands long to pull them up and relocate them
already.

I ordered the HIPS membership and World of Iris books last night- this list
is gonna cost me money, I can see. I only wish I could meet more people in
person; my travel seems to be foreign rather than continental. Maybee one
day soon.
Cept for Sharon McCallister, whom I WILL make an effort to see your garden
after all the years of not knowing you were there, and living in the same
town. Is'nt cyber iris space wunnerfullll???
