top honors

Oh, Tom - I don't know if the Morgan Award was a medal (someone
out there knows & will probably tell us in short order)...but
B & S won the top honors for a Siberian twice...that is the
        point...two honors, maybe one medal.:-)

I shamelessly promote Siberian irises any chance I get...they are
the most beautiful representatives of the iris - IMHO.;-)

Ellen, if you wish to stay captain, you will need to banish that
defeatist attitude. Top honors for a Siberian is the Dykes Medal,
and B&S hasn't yet won it once. Yes, it does look like impossible
odds for the non-TBs, but we must keep up hope.

By the way, I still like the idea of declaring a class, say Siberians,
ineligible for the Dykes for the year after one of its members wins.
That way, there won't be a Siberian domination of the award, there will
be two Siberians to choose from every year there are any, and the
list of Dykes winners will not be identical to the list of Morgan-Wood
winners.
