Donald is speaking of Region V activities and was heartily welcomed at the
Summerville Iris Society Spring region meeting. He has reallyl made my day
by stating that he is willing to promote an affiliate in the North Augusta
area.
Along with him I would like to know if the National Affiliate Chairman has
some
helpful data on starting a new affilliate. We all know the biggest
requirement
is ten AIS members enthusiastic about iris.
Anyway Donald will help you in any I can, being a bit closer to you than
our Current RVP, Marshall Goforth. Can help you set up interesting programs,
etc. Did you meet Betty Jones of Griffin. She wanted a group in her area
and
now Flint River is a very active affiliate. They have two members who have
outstanding gardens that were on tour for l992 national convention.
Still hopeful about a group in Florida. Any progress Robert?
