	I prefer to use the rose markers sold by EON Industries (they advertise in the 
back of the AIS Bulletins).  I paint the nametag portion with a 1-coat primer (I prefer 
white but I suppose you could use any color you like) with a 1" wide disposable foam 
brush.  Dries quickly, makes it easier to see and read the nameplates, also makes the 
nameplates life longer.  It involves a little more work to paint the nameplates, I 
know...but it is worth it in the end!!!  One could even be creative and use a different 
color marker for each size class of iris (TB, BB, IB, etc.), type (sib., jap.,etc.), or 
use whatever system that appeals to you!!!
