Pseudacorus doesn't have the black spots, but it is the only iris that has a
pink flesh rihzome.

Carolyn Schaffner in Buffalo NY who has found that pseudacorus will grow
next to the swingset, live thru trampling of children's feet, and without
any standing water !!
