Re: Alfalfa Pellets



When I asked the feed store guy how they make these various alfalfa horse
food products (pellets and flakes (somewhat smaller than the fist sized
chunks), he said 'oh, it's extruded'.  'Huh?' I said.  So he explained that
they grind up the alfalfa hay and extrude it. (doesn't that help just a whole
bunch)  I couldn't find out if they add some kind of binder - my impression
is that it is just compressed alfalfa.
