I have noted the complaints about the bulletin and thought I would
add my thought. I don't expect a lot from a quarterly journal. I
provides the news and buisiness of the society. It seems less often
that an article really expands my knowledge. The BIS Yearbook seems
to do a better job at this type of thing. I don't think one can
fault the Bulletin for the lack of stimulating articles, they must
come from stimulating people. The challenge is to have exciting and
interesting projects that stimulate individuals to enthusiastic
exposition. What research does the AIS do? How is it meeting the
challenges of changing gardens and changing times. Without goals and
the adventure of new challenges the society and its bulletin can
become boring and perfunctory. Bob Pries
