Hi All,
I'm glad to see that the possibility of an "Electronic Iris Registry" has
resurfaced. How about if we get together a small group (via email), say an
informal study group, and discuss the idea. After we beat it around awhile
we could post our findings to Iris-L and ask for any other input before we
make a presentation to the AIS Board. After all the information is
copywrite protected. My mail program allows me to send the same message to
a group of addresses, as I believe most do, so all of the members could
receive all the message traffic sent by one member.
I thought about working out a database format this winter when my garden has
less need of my attention, as I was just able to purchase the ten year
registries from 1939 - 1979 and all of the yearly registries from 1980 - 1990.
Ian, Tom and Dennis have all presented good food for thought on the subject.
Now it is time we find out who is serious about the idea. I am ready to go.
Is anybody else? Send me private e-mail if you are and would like to be
part of the group.
