Welcome back GUNNAR! We all missed you! When you do go for Japanese irises,
may I suggest the place to go is Belgium...a couple of the largest Japanese
irises nurseries in the world are in Begium. The largest collection of
Japanese irises bred by Japanese breeders rather than by Americans or
Europeans, outside of Japan, is maintained by Koen Engelen's nursery at
HERENTALSEBAAN, 126-A, Bs520 RANST, Belgium. I believe he has all the irises
sold by Kamo Nurseries in Japan (largest in Japan), plus many that Kamo does
not sell. Koen also has almost all of the Japanese of American origin.
Another superb collection is at the nursery of Gilbert Verswijver, HOGEWEG,
B-2940-HOEVENEN, Belgium.
