Welcome Felicity.  I saw Graeme Grosvenor's book at the convention. =
 Marvelous pictures and just recently published.  The last chapter has =
fabulous doctored pictures showing some truly weird combinations.  You will =

probably be able to get it before most of us in North America.  Currier =
McEwen also recently published a book on Siberian iris.  It is published by =

Timber Press in the U.S.  They have a website.  I think you can order =
through the website.

You should be able to grow most iris.  The beardeds do very well in clay an=
d =
dry conditions.  I'm not sure about the humidity.

The zones referred to come from the US Department of Agriculture.  They do =

have a web site.  Maybe someone on the list has the address.

Graeme Grosvenor has also just published a new book on Iris I think its cal=
l
"The Rainbow Flower" or something similar. I haven't seen the book yet but
from the reviews it seems to have some lovely photo. Many are done by the
guy (whose name escapes me) who did some camera work for David Attenborough=
