kiddie pools for japanese iris

hi all, i have bought some kiddie pools for my japanese iris when they
arrive this fall. i was wondering how deep should these pools be for
the iris. they are about five foot in diameter and about 10 inches deep.
have i bought these pools in vain???thanks john walker...zone8/9 ...
