OT: PBF Inheritance

For those of you who have read Donald Spoon's article in the July Bulleti=
n
and noticed his mention of the maternal inheritance of purple-based
foliage....

This may well be true for TBs. I don't know.

It is not true for arilbreds, however. In my survey I found that the PBF=

could be traced to either parent. In some, it had to have come from TB
ancestors. In others, from the regelia side of the family. It is quite
possible that the pigment from TB ancestors can be transmitted only by th=
e
pod parent while the pigment from the regelia ancestors can be transmitte=
d
either way. Still more questions than answers....
