I have a very good source for martagon lily bulbs for those who would like
to try them
Parkland Perennials
Box 3683, Spruce Grove
Alberta, CANADA, T7X 3A9
403-963-7307
I counted 14 varieties of martagons in the catalogue, they also carry a
limited number of iris, lots of asiatic lilies and a few other things.
They only ship lily bulbs to the US. I have dealt with PP for years and
have found them very good.
I have planted martagons in with my sibs and the only problem I have
encountered was when I top dressed with a high Nitrogen mulch which caused
the martagon stems to twist and do loop de loops.
