Hi claire--
I'm not gloating because it's a long ride for me, but worth it. I found
the greatest peaches at a farm stand where they pick from their own
orchards on rt 199 just before the turn-off to Rhinebeck in dutchess
county. I'm going back for more.
No refrigeration, no transit excpet for the walk from the orchard.
Perhaps that makes the difference.
