IMargaret Boothe asked:
<< Could anyone list of few sources for obtaining some of the irises listed

having survivability? >>
Margaret, most of the ones I listed were historic cultivars, that is, irises
more than thirty years old. Many older cultivars are pretty tough. Two good
sources for historic irises are Superstition Gardens, that's Rick Tasco and
Roger Duncan of this list, and Argyle Acres in Texas, owned by Donna and Joe
Spears. I've done business with both and can recommend them highly. If the
older stuff interests you, I'd send off for their historic lists next season
and if you can't choose, ask them to put together a little collection of very
tough beauties for you. I'm sure they will oblige. You can contact Rick and
Roger at randrcv@sierratel.com, and the Spears by telephone at
(817)-464-3680. Or check the HIPS page for sources and particulars:
