Chris.... I have an African Walking Iris (?) that was sent to me by Bill
Smoot. It flowers in the winter (under lights)... The 'walking' part comes
from this strange behavior where the iris sends out a raceme with a tiny
plant at the end. The growing plant eventually weighs down the raceme....
the plant touches the ground and sends out roots - the walking part!
Smoot would know the botanical name...
Kathyguest... who loves her exotics too
