Patersonia

Anne asked about information on Patersonia.  I have not been able to
find any gardening information on this species, which is only found in
Australasia and some areas of New Guinea.  The species that I have seen
in Australia are not too "gardenable".  They have small, rather weak
flowers but there might be some species with larger flowers, for example
the species in Queensland or N.G.  I have not seen these species.  I
have a key to the species of Patersonia taken from an Australian
publication but, at the moment, I cannot find it.  The nearest I can
come is the Iris and Tulips of Iran!  If you want the reference, let me
know off-list and I will make a concerted effort to find it for you.
