Having migrated from AOL to Netscape on icx.net (Internet Design Group)
which has unlimited web access for $15/month, I am delighted with this
server. Only disadvantage to mail in Netscape is the oopsasecond after
hitting send doesn't allow opening and re-editing queued mail. I don't
know how big a company it is though. Maybe two guys in a garage type
setup. But so far, no problems - when I first connected, I had some
problems getting things going (and some of you know first hand how long
it takes me to do things!), so they didn't charge me for the first
month, even though it was my own slow response that kept me off line.
And when I called for help after hours a nice young man answered the
phone and to the tune of a puppy growfing in the background, helped me
troubleshoot. He said to call anytime - even after their listed hours -
because usually somebody's around anyway. Quite a change from AOL.
When AOL used to download digest files that were unreadable, I found
that Write (comes with Windows) was able to translate them. Maybe
that's not what you mean, but I thought I would share that info on the
outside chance it would help. The last straw with AOL for me was when
they refused to reply to my repeated requests for help with a software
problem (THEIR software wasn't compatible with my video driver).
