Different cultivars

Before I get in trouble for too many off topic posts and Walter gets the
Confederate cavalry after me, I do have a serious question:

I have noticed a radical range of behaviors in the TB's I have
planted/transplanted over the last month or so. Some seem to have gotten
busy and started new growth, others appear to be dormant. I think they
are all ok, so I am assuming that the diferences in behavior have to do
with plant tendencies and not environment. Since these are all TB's, I
was wondering if anyone had studied and separated these cultivars by
behavior or plant type? (I'm looking for common gene strains) It would
appear that there are some fairly obvious behavior patterns, and one
might assume that these are "family" behaviors. Forgive me if this is an
elemental question, I'm still learning, but then. I'm always still
learning.
