OT: Iris names

Rusty,
You are correct about the introduction date of SATIN SATAN: It was
1986. However, in saying that I would not grow plants with some name does
not mean that I would tell others not to. I have avoided WITCH'S SABBATH
because of the name, but I grow other Iris by the same hybridizer. This is
not meant to be an attempt to blacklist a variety of Iris. WITCH'S SABBATH
has a very nice flower to it.
In no way would I tell someone not to grow this or any other Iris.
That choice belongs to them and them alone. Who am I to tell someone not
to grow SATIN SATAN or WITCH'S SABBATH when I have a Daylily named BLACK
MAGIC?
