Bill--
We do this to make our massive transplanting operation easier and to
eliminate the possibility of nematodes on "incoming plants" from other
gardens, we DO NOT have a nematode problem here because of our total
solarization process.
And YES, we would recommend this process to those in a climate similar
to ours. Why take the chance of bringing in problems on roots?
