Bulb Prices -- Van Bourgondiens

My experience in buying from Van Bourgondiens was with aril iris -- both
species and hybrids.  Back in the late 70s, they even sent me bulbous iri=

labeled as RCs.  At one time, they were distributing onco seedlings under=

made-up names so close to those of some species as to engender a great de=
al
of confusion in the aril world.  I have heard similar stories from other
arilarians (they even ignored correspondence from then ASI President Herb=

McKusick).   OTOH, if ANYONE has had positive experience in ordering aril=

iris from them in the last few years, I'd certainly  like to hear about i=
t.

Van Bourgondiens may well be a reliable source of other things -- so if
you've had good experience with them and no interest in arils, I don't me=
an
to discourage future dealings with them.
