bio again

Hello to all:
I tried to send a message like this a couple days ago, but we've had 
computer problems here, and I don't think it got through.  If it did, 
you can just delete right away.  If not, read on.  I'm happy to be 
back on the iris-l after a good 3 months away--gardening busyness, 
not in my office with any degree of regularity, summer vacation.  Our 
new college year began yesterday, and that means I'm back in my 
office every day, away from the garden tht occupied my time so much 
of the summer.  I figured that being away so long, the list had 
probably gained new members in that time, so I ought to include a 
brief bio once again.  So:  Age 64, married, 4 children (3 married, 
youngest daughter just over a year out of college) 7 grandchildren, 
addictively into iris for about 10 years,  about 400 TBs, a couple 
dozen Sibereians and more on the way this month, a few spuria and 
species, member of AIS and Siouxland Iris Society, enthusiat about 
any kind of gardening subject, due to retire after this year of 
teaching.  I think that's more than enough.  I hope all the 
interesting people who wrote on here in the past year are still going 
on or soon will be, and I look forward to being in on the iris talk 
again.
