Hybridize an Iris (or something else) and name it after Francis Gary
Powers: I am getting ideas here.
Thinking of plant names, I bought a Daylily last year because of its
name: PALO DURO CANYON. In June, 1977, I went to the "real" Palo Duro
Canyon near Amarillo, Texas. The Daylily is as colorful as the real thing.
By the way, this year, the hybridizer told me that she named the Daylily
after the Canyon in Texas. Those of you on the Daylily e-mail Robin will
notice that I put that one in my top 25 on the popularity poll.
