Ryan,
First of all, I would think that breeding minature dwarfs(MDB's) for
rebloom alone would be significant and a rewarding goal. There are not
that many around. Forget about diploid to tetraploid, as most Minatures
are already tets. Form would be another goal. A nice round, and
ruffled flower with pie-crust edges would be a show stopper and a sure
award winner for some hybridizer. Don't forget to keep all the other
good qualities in mind for the class. If you do not already have a copy
of the American Iris Society's(AIS) Handbook for Judges and Show
Officials do purchase one from the AIS storefront for this describes in
detail what AIS expects from each class.
The only MDB's I know of that rebloom, and they rebloom here, are Ditto
and Doozey. Both by Ben Hager.
