In this vein........Phyllis Semenas shared a funny story with me regarding an
iris she had received from Stockton Gardens. It was a tall beareded with the
name of BARD.
She could not figure it out and called Abe Feuerstein and asked him. He did
not have a clue either. No one could find a registered iris with this name.
She wet one of the dried outer fan leaves and found "Alexander's Ragtime" you
guessed it....it was BAND.
