Reblooming irises

From: Charles Bunge <BUNGE@macc.wisc.edu>

Hello, list members,
I am new to this list and relatively new to iris growing. I am in Wisconsin and
had lovely irises this spring, although they bloomed about 2 weeks ahead of the
last couple of years. I am ready to plant some new irises, and I want to try
more rebloomers. I have only one reblooming variety, Isle ah Cundee. Right
now, it is blooming beautifully (again, a couple of weeks or more earlier than
last year). My question for list members is this: Is there a list of
reblooming irises, even one for the upper Midwest? Also, do you have a favorite
source of irises?

Another question I have is about leaf spot. This year seemed particularly bad
for that. I had lots of brown leaves, caused, I think by fungal leaf spot. Do
any of you have a good way of controlling that. I am real careful to keep the
bed clean, but to little avail this summer.

Thanks for any information you can provide. Happy gardening! Charles Bunge.
