HIST:HIPS Unknowns--Available for Adoption?

<< Recently someone on the list mentioned the Unknowns on the HIPS website,
and it had been awhile since I'd looked at them, so I went and looked. There
are some spectacularly beautiful iris there that I think would look lovely in
a
particular garden in the hills of WV. Are any of these Unknowns available for
distribution? >>

I can't speak for anyone else' Unknowns, but my funny little irises are not
available yet. I've only just negotiated starts of them and sent part along to
Edinger for further study. I think you should refer your question to Mike
Lowe, HIPS Webmaster, who rounded up slides of some of the unknowns under
consideration.

And it should be noted by the assembled that this year Mike Lowe has been
awarded the HIPS Distinguished Service Award for his continued work on this
webpage. See The Plaque itself on The Page itself.

The HIPS page is continually under construction with one project or another
going on and if you haven't visited in a while you don't know what you are
missing. Anner's "Bowling Green Beauty" is worth the trip.
