I agree
with Rusty. I enjoyed my free plants very much and found that I often
found the offerings to stretch my garden in ways that I might not have done
choosing from catalog pictures. Especially when I was starting
out.
When Kepple
was in California. I visited his gardens and then ordered from him.
He sent me some of his new introductions at that time for extras and to this day
I am enjoying them. He also noticed that I had ordered a lot of Blyth Iris
and included a couple of these as extras. I still remember my joy at
receiving them and my joy when they bloomed and were so
spectacular.
I don't feel
the least bit greedy about enjoying a "gift" whatever the
motive. There is joy in the giving and joy in the receiving which we
need in these troubled times. z*@directcon.net CA Sierra

As the Iris glow with their colors so bright
It makes me feel younger too,
As I enjoy their splendor with delight!
