Elizabeth,
I am growing some of the native Irises that were obtained from nursery
stock. I do have a small Coontie Palm that I rescued. The plant was in
the way of the construction of an underground utility cable. So, although
it is normally illegal to disturb a Coontie Palm, it is legal to do so to
save its life. So far, it is doing well.
