The colour of cheques is acclimatizing for
chooks!
Living in Australia with a computer that has an
American spell-checker is no easy chore. Everytime I type in something
that it doesn't like I get a nasty red line telling me to fix it - but it IS
fixed.
Please therefore accept my abject apology for
spelling bi-colour, lavendar, bushfire, favourite et al in a manner not
conducive to you and your computer. Poor Jan Clark is still
recovering from the "chook" debacle, and I am too frightened to
mention any of my chook jokes for fear of the punch line requiring a
translation.
The spell-checker had never heard of Maori or
Sydney either, but had no problems with Waxahatchie or Kalamazoo (I rest my
case!)
Cheers for now, Heather Pryor i*@pip.com.au
