Christa,
The thing to do is give the TB Irises a chance, but concentrate on
Louisianas. One compounding factor is that Titusville is much less prone
to have freezes than is Dunnellon. Titusville's weather is moderated by
the Atlantic Ocean. Dunnellon is in a range of low rolling hills and is
much more prone to freezes. This will give TB Irises more of a chance
here, but the outcome is still very uncertain.
Remember that I have been here less than one year. Some yards around
here have TB Iris plants in the gardens, but I don't know how long they
have been there, whether or not they have increased, and if they bloom.
As the outcome of my Iris experience becomes more obvious, I will tell
you all.
