what defines a weed? i recall way back in the 10th grade, my biology teacher
asked the clas "what is a weed?" he got grasses, broadleaf, etc. i sat
quietly as i usually did and taking no notes nor opening my book. i finally
held up my hand and said "any plant that grows where i don't want it to is a
weed. if a rose grows where i don't want it to it is a weed." he had a
coniption fit, and chewed out the rest of the class for a good 5 minutes that
i took no notes, paid no attention, never brought the book, and still got b's
and high c's on tests and was the only one able to define 'weed'. hee hee hee
