> Take it easy with wood ash. It will give a very basic pH to any
garden bed( like 9 or 10). Put it on your Compost heap with a sprinkler
ie a plastic bottle with holes drilled in the top. Basic stuff, even
dry, attacks glass so don't use your salt shaker.
