If anyone would like to see a photo of NOSTALGIE (Kohlein) it's shown on page 71 in his book "Iris". Dramatic! Plant Delights Nursery occassionally lists a few irises each spring. This year Tony had hoped to offer a dwarf crested called NAVY BLUE. Catalog is nowhere to be found at the moment, but I believe it is a selection from Lorena Reid. Correct me if I'm wrong....I'd love to get hold of this one if it's really different from the dark blue I already have. For black flowering plants other than irises, Alcea Nigra flore pleno, Nora Barlow Black columbine, and pansies do well here. Christy Hensler THE ROCK GARDEN Newport, WA z4b http://www.povn.com/rock
