Dear Mark et al in the Gulf Coast region,
Through purchases and donations we are developing a Tall Bearded Iris test
garden. Purpose is to grow as many cultivars from different breeders to
compile a list of TB iris that will perform in the Gulf Coast region, USDA
Zones 8b/9a. I am very please to have received many of Lloyd Zurbrigg's TB
iris cultivars.
The Extension Result Demostration Garden is part of the Calcasieu Extension
Agriculture Center, 7101 Gulf Hwy., Lake Charles, Louisiana 70607-7414. And
yes, Louisiana Iris will be there too, of course!! But different beds! The
garden is cared for by Extension Master Gardeners (EMG) and Extension
Horticulture Volunteers (EHV)!
