Schreiner Y163-B, Scharf 57-34-1, Hinkle E-27-1 and a host of others are
available on the Dykes pedigree page for Victoria Falls. I have been a
laggard on getting some of the newer things' pedigrees up -- I need to stir
my stumps and get them posted.
I am working on a database for the World Iris page whereby you can type in
a cultivar and see a seven generation pedigree, for the requested cultivar,
displayed. (What you will see is what now exists only as a static display
for the Dykes medalists. Only difference is you will be able to see a
pedigree for any iris that is in my database.) Also, since the Dykes
pedigrees ARE static, they reflect the extent of my knowledge at the time
they were posted.
The database is in place, just have to do the coding to make it work and
display on a server. Of course, the expansion of pedigrees to include data
not in the 'Check Lists' (Such as displayed for Victoria Falls) is an
ongoing task and one that gets more difficult day by day as older
hybridizers die and their records go who knows where.
[If anyone knows the whereabouts or location of any descendents of Orville
Fay -- we are desperately seeking information on the disposal or possible
location of his breeding records; A.K.A. his 'Studbook.']
