Does anyone know how it is that some people call iris flags?
The reason I was told this weekend is ; When people were homesteading
years ago they would plant a iris on each corner to mark their land.
Does anyone know if this is true?
I cannot think of any other plant you could carry around and plant almost
any time of the year and hope to have it grow.
