About twenty years ago, a friend from West Texas wrote this poem. I found
it among some stuff and am sending it along.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
I'm writing this note to remind you,
That inflation has taken away,
The things that I hold most essential;
My reindeer, my workshop, and sleigh.
Now I'm making my rounds on a donkey;
He's old, he's crippled, he'sslow.
So, you'll know if I miss you on Christmas,
That I'm out on my ___ in the snow
